A mate has a pair of 6950's crossfired with a 120Hz monitor, but he's saying that regardless of him turning off the vsync in game, they'll constantly lock at 60Hz and won't go any faster. Anyone know some way of getting around this?

Cheers

Is he using a dual link DVI cable?

Has he selected the 120 Hz version of the resolution in the in game menu? As you don't choose the refresh rate separately you have to keep clicking through the resolutions to get to the 120 Hz version of it.

Just to add to rusty's comments-he has enabled 120Hz in windows for his monitor?

His other games won't run in 120Hz if he hasn't.

i don't think BF3 will run at 120Hz if he hasn't done that either. after a reinstall i forgot to do it, and it looked awful until i changed it in that menu
