Is there any way for me to increase my FPS on my rig until I upgrade my CPU (Which might be a long time away),

Intel Pentium Dual-Core E6600 3.06GHz
Nvidia GTX 560
8GB DDR3 RAM

I know nothing about overclocking, so that isn't an option. My FPS doesn't increase by much by putting all settings to low.
Any help would be appreciated :)

I always had good fps in BF3 according to fps monitors but it always felt choppy to me . . . meh uninstalled that crapfest a while back

I got the game today and I kinda get the same feeling, it's running at over 100fps on ultra but it doesn't feel smooth like CoD does, which despite its faults does run like butter.

My fps are fine but I honestly can't remember the last time I played the game it it didn't feel like I was been shot around corners. Well its not a feeling it happens constantly and the death screen often shows my body a meter around a corner from where i was shot.

I briefly had a good connection and it was so much easier :(

So not always about fps.

i just upgraded from e6750 to ivy and didnt notice much increase in frame rates but then im still using my 4870 but looking to change to a 7970!! i would say spend money on a new gfx!!

He has a 560 ffs!

The bottleneck is clearly his CPU. His GPU is fine.

CPU bottleneck, might be worth finding a Kentsfield or Yorkfield C2Q if your motherboard supports it. It'd be a good way to get the FPS up if you can find one on the cheap. BF3 is fairly CPU intensive.

That cpu should goto about 3.8-4.0 ghz with a decent cooler.

But with no over clocking and no upgrades your options are limited.

One tip i picked on the these forums if you right click your bf3.exe properties/compatabilty then tick disable desktop compsition cant see it making a big difference though.

Make sure nothing is running in the background ofc.

And avoid servers with a lot of people on, squad deathmatch is quite fun and normally a 16 player limit on servers
