BF3 or PS2 : POLL PLEASE?

Right guys

which would you say is better game? in terms of gameplay, graphics etc

IMo PS2 has edged it, seems like the gameplay is just a breath of fresh air over the likes of cod and bf3 (im not making a direct comparison between cod and bf3 here. BF3 smashes cod) , the graphics on ultra are truely beautiful. Not to mentioned 3 way huge teamfights at night is just something else...

trying to get a lad at work to play... his mate downloaded it and told him it was ****. i said it was just as good if not better than BF3. he refuses to believe me as its a "free" game. after explaining its just a marketing scheme and they make money other ways hes sounding more convinced but his mate dosent like it as he cant figure out how to actually play the game....

Hence the thread :D
 
Only had a quick blast on PS2, the scope of battles seem epic. Graphically however I don't think PS2 can compete with BF3 maxed out.
IMHO BF3 has amongst the best graphics of any game.
 
Gfx, well bf3 obviously is nicer when maxed but the gfx aint that bad for ps2 considering the scale. The gameplay for ps2 i feel beats bf3 hands down as well and it's more fun than bf3 for me. Sure its not as tactical due to crap balance on a 1 on 1 basis but your not playing it right if your on your own you need to be with a few mates at the least to enjoy it properly and stand a chance. Whilst the same can be said for bf3 you can solo it a lot more in that game but you cant in ps2 imo.

Totally different games. BF3 is minute in scale to PS2. Performance of BF3 is significantly better and is closer to being a proper FPS, but PS2 brings a mass of strategy and longer term planning, and is less of a shooter.

I like both games, and appreciate the differences.

Also... cost: you can spend vastly more money on PS2 than on BF3... it is free to play, but helps your progression if you buy a few things.
 
anyoen whos is saying ps2 gfx dont compare to bf3 need to go lookup some screenshots of people playing with sweetfx installed taking away the "blur" thats on the game atm some of the images are outstanding.

why make a poll on two games you may like :confused:

and sorry you mock cod but cod 4 for eg has 5x times as many on daily on pc as bf3 and more than planetside 2.

bf3 is bearable planetside 2 is utter garbage and the reason its free :p

downsized and not spectactular.

many games look better metro , skyrim , crysis 1,2, to name a few
 
i didn't mock cod, i said bf3 smashed it. which is does.

Just cos it has more people playing it dosen't make it a better game. just more people prefer an unskilled game. the franchise toke off with modern warefare and people have followed it since.

There will be a lot more cod players than there are halo... but halo is still a much better game.

like psy - gangnam style , if its first song to hit 1 billion views does that make it the best song ever?
 
I wouldnt mod ps2 with something that effects the files as sweetfx might be doing because ps2 has a 0 tolerance policy on modding and will get you banned.

i think he meant if u have mods on skyrim, if not skyrim is not great. Though IMO vanilla skyrim on pc is still tasty
 
I was asking myself the same thing yesterday. PS2 looks more my kind of game but I read that the joystick support for PS2 is awful and that all the different aircraft have the same flight model :confused:

What is joystick support like for BF3 and can it be used for both aircraft and vehicles.
 
Very different games but Planetside 2 for me. Loads more teamwork/fun to be had when you are in a decent outfit.

You would only need joystick for helis and planes, for land vehicles mouse and keyboard are best.
 
Can gladly accept ps2's graphics for its achievements of a grand sense of scale and perpetual warfare.

Lets not start another graphics vs gameplay debate.
