BF3 - Origin help

Hey guys this is more than likely a stupid question, but will ask anyhow

I reinstalled my pc about a month ago, and i had saved my download of BF3 so i would not have to re-download it again, i put the files in the origin directory but i don't seem to be able to add it to origin ?

Download & install origin then past the BF3 folder into Origin Games

C:\Program Files (x86)\Origin Games\Battlefield 3 << Game goes in here

Launch BF3 via the exe it should load up orgin etc.

Load Origin
Start downloading BF3
Pause download
Close Origin
Move your backup to replace the download that just started
Re-open origin & validate install
