BF3 problems

Got the game for Xmas and when i@m playing its great, but i seem to spend most of my time restarting the game or my computer as it keeps crashing at first i thought it was my wi-fi so i got a long cable to plug it into and its still crashing, either wont load up game after you tell it to join server, gets as far the bf3 logo on taskbar but doesnt get any further or at the end of the game the smoke loads up but doesnt get any further have to ctrl-alt-del to task manager and then it says its stopped working
anyone got any ideas of whats wrong
my spec
Jeantech Arctic 600W fully modular PSU, I5 760 CPU, Asus p7p55d Pro Motherboard, Coolermaster Hyper 212 plus CPU Cooler, 4gb geil ram, asus 470 gtx, 1tb hdd, SB Audigy 2 PCI sound card, TP-LINK Wireless N Adapter 300mb

Obvious question to start with, but do you have the latest drivers for you card?

Try disabling upnp on your router as well.

Overclocked? If so, throttle it back or try it at stock to check if it's that causing you problems. This game will find any instability in your system.

There are lots of other things you can fiddle with (and threads in this forum to read) but before you do anything check basic stability.

Try the repair tool on BF3 through Origin client?
