Anyone else notice how bright the sky/sea is? I can't see a damn thing, I've tried turning the brightness down but that turns down the brightness of the land and weapons rather than the sun reflection.

the thing about emulating real life is that in this case its a computer game, designed for fragging other people, if you want ultra realism then either catch a flight to Afghanistan or watch bbc planet earth

id rather see what the fk im doing on a game and not also be blinded by flashlights 3miles away in the brightest sunniest day ever

choices for realism should not effect core gameplay

Agreed. The flashlights are plain annoying as is the ridiculous levels of sun glare.

Sun glare I can live with, the torches... Who sat in the there testing the game and said "yeah, these torches are an excellent addition to daylight warfare"?

A nice upgrade equipable would be sunglasses, which make everything a bit darker, better in the open and crippling indoors.

i wish you could toggle solar flare and or extreme reflections as they can be a pain but really, i love them, they help in giving a sense that you are there on battlefield.

The one thing i really detest about battlefield is the modelling of the rocks, they look wild shiny as if they have been drenched in water, glitter added and then a million lights reflecting off them..lol

I like the idea of torches.. but sorry... those lights are just ridiculous when outdoors and blinding you.. they just don't get that bright light that (I should know I have a load of bloody bright bike LEDS).

I tried to rationlise the glare on the screen and I figured that if the soldiers were wearing goggles (not sure if they do short of going ingame again :p) then that might be why but even so it's pretty excessive at times.

i like the torches , people giving away them and their team mates positions with them and who cares about the blinding when you can just aim at the light and shoot

Because the light is aiming and shooting at you too. Hip fire from close range is laughably bad let alone when you have a 5 million watt lamp in your face (or ten meters away, while there half behind a rock or something)

Indoors and in the dark they should be a powerful tool, for sure
