Hi,

Have two copys of BF3 and two of us are trying to play from home on two different machines using the same broadband connection but one of us can get on but then the second person can not join the game. Keep getting error message You were disconnected from EA Online (1) or that we have been disconnected.
Please can anyone offer any advice on what to do to be able to play the game together. We have done this with BF and BF Bad Company no problem in the past...
Many thanks..

I had the exact same problem playing on LAN at a friend's house, and after much searching it appears to be a router related issue. Switching off the universal plug n play (uPNP) setting solved it.

Hi thanks for the info.. where did you turn of the plug and play... is that in the game or on the router..

Many thanks

It would be in the router mate :)

Me and a mate also have had this problem, but we've found resetting the router has fixed it on both occasions :) (but I'm guessing you tried that :p)

Should be an option on the router control panel. My friend's was one of the newer Virgin Media models, I think it had an options tab dedicated to uPnP.

If you can find the router model and google it, it'll probably be worth a look at the manual.
