BF4 and transferring game

Hi Guys,

Quick question. my mate and I want to have a quick spaz on BF4 tonight. Instead of me having to download it can I copy the game from him onto a HD and then just copy it onto my machine ???

I don't think so man. I have tried by just changing my drive letter on the HDD that Origin is installed on and it wanted me to download the whole thing again. Unlike Steam on the other hand

Yeah, install origin on your PC let it start the download for a few minutes. Then exit origin and copy the BF4 folder over. When you start origin back up after it will validate the files and should be fine.

As modo77 says, just make sure that when you close origin, exit the programs exe via the hidden icons tab to fully close it. I use this method to restore origin games that ive backed up when reformatting. Would take forever to download them on my connection.

Modo77 is correct. It's a bit of a faff compared to Steam, but still not hugely inconvenient.
