BF4 constantly crashing?

Read the BF4 thread.... either pc or console I think. Most people are having poblems with the game.

Is this occasional, or always within a minute or two or something?

Could you elaborate on what you mean by crashing for us?

There could be so many reasons why that all pretty much tie in to the same root cause: game poorly optimised.

My 4770K was overclocked to a stable 4.5Ghz with 2.275V and like you, every test under the sun would report it was a perfectly stable system. Guess what - BF4 hated it and crashed (BSOD) at least a few times a day.

I've dropped my CPU back to stock speed and also my GPUs (2 x GTX 770) back to stock and it seems fine.

I have done the same and seems to be more stable, only crashes I've had in 2 days have been server side crashes!

Imagine if Ford were to release a new car that had been rushed through quality assurance in the same way BF4 has, just to beat Vauxhall.

It's ironic that EA have been prioritising getting out their product before COD in an effort to make more dollar, but have seriously damaged their reputation in the process of doing so.

Do you really need your components overclocked? If BF4 will run fine with them at stock speeds then just leave them for the sake of having a stable game.

I'm assuming you've got all the usual stuff like the latest drivers, no crazy background tasks etc.

Well yeah, this is OCUK ! lol, also im watercooling a delidded 3770k it gets 68c prime load, i thought it would be fine! lol

If your getting BSOD, RSOD, hard locks or DX errors then system stability is suspect, if your getting the game crashing back to desktop either dissapearing entirely or with a BF4.exe has stopped responding/working dialog then its probably one of the numerous game bugs thats causing crashing for most people.

I had my overclocked i5 passing every benchmark and game i threw at it, but BF4 still crashed till i tweaked the OC a bit more, think I needed more volts, now it runs sweet, so im going to say your 4.5ghz OC is not as stable as you think!

Lowered to 4ghz now to see what it does, crashed at 4.3 same volts

Ahhh, reminds me of when I had a wonderful 3770K that did 4.9 on 1.28v, and because I wanted to get to 5GHz, I decided to de-lid.... and KILLED IT!

:(

Ahh no!!!! Used a hammer on mine, subtle, and effective  :D

Mate you are not the only one with this frustration ..... every one of my friends and myself has crashes every night they play BF4. 3/4 of us have powerful machines while the other has an older machine.

BF4 is really buggy as its a rushed released to try and beat COD: Ghosts for sales. It was apparently just as crash-tastic at the beginning of beta but DICE patched it and made the beta stable. DICE has stopped working on other projects to fix as many bugs on BF4 at the moment.

Lots of EA forum posts "claim" that moving to Windows 8/8.1 increases stability, but that is not 100% true as there are people on those operating systems having just as many problems with the stability.

At the moment I am just bearing it and re-joining when BF4 freezes, waiting for the inevitable patch that will resolve the stability issues.

Weird I just tried High settings and it judders really bad......like not the graphics juddering, like a feedback loop error or something, between judders its high frame rates, ultra runs smooth as butter.......HELPFUL,lol

mine crashes sometimes, not a lot really, about every few long games.

i have a fx8320 @ 4ghz 1.36v and a 7990 @ stock
