AMD fixed the black screen issue in BF4 with the latest drivers.

However.. I'm playing BF4 loving it ! Ultra setting, the magical 60fps :p

I'm cleaning up the Battlefield, then Blam Red Screen of death baby !

So, I reset everything back to stock..

Start playing again.. Loving it.. Then what do you know.. Wham Red Screen of death in the face...

Ffs one day I'll actually be able to sit back and play this game... Atm it looks like I'm waiting for Mantle just to make this game playable... Even then? Is my GPU causing these probs? All other games seem to work fine?

Anybody else having crashing on BF4?

What are other games running like? Bf4 is notorious for crashes, but i havent read/heard anything about red screen crashing.

Other games are running ok. I'm not sure if it's just new GPU teething probs like drivers etc, or is BF4 broken? I might just give up for now and start playing again in December when Mantle / new drivers are out..

I've had the red screen of death, think it's cpu related though, pushed the voltage up a bit to 1.300 and all seems fine now.

Ah ok, thanks for posting that bud. I may just reset everything on my PC to default, CPU, volts, GPU the lot, see if it still crashes :p. Weird that other games are fine.. Pretty sure BF3 was a pita at launch as well.. Hopefully in a couple months BF4 will be stable..

Had a look for ya boom and seems that AMD cards galore are getting this problem. I am sure it will be fixed on the next driver update :)

Thanks to you bud, I dropped everything back to stock, volts, everything. Just done two full games, no crash :D

Even weirder is I had no fps drops. Thinking my system wasn't @ stable OC, and that's what was causing the occasional stutter and fps drop and then red screen of death. These two games were smooth as butter.

I'm just keep my system like this now, and only OC for benching.

Thank you.

A 1 second google search results in a mass of Nvidia and AMD crashes, freezing, Blue screens of Death, Red Screen of death........

The game is still buggy, some have never had issues, some have but no more. others had issues from day one and still do.

Its not the Drivers, My crashing stopped completely not from a Driver change, but from a server patch.

I dont get any GPU related crashes but i do get BF4 has stopped working now and then when the maps change and it does not matter what GPU people have because most of the people i play together with get it more than me and they use NV cards, where i would maybe get it once or twice in a 5-8 hour session and they would get it up to 5 times.

No problem at all, lad it's sorted bud;).

Red screen crash in windows 8 usually means lack of dram voltage or core voltage on the CPU!!

RSOD-upping your system ram voltage a touch should knock that on the head.

Tommy knows the score because LT helped him with this ages ago. :)
