BFBC2 can't connect and password trouble

Hey guys! Having a bit of trouble with BFBC2. I re-installed it a couple of days ago and I was having real trouble signing in. I'd put in my login details then it'd say 'failed to connect to ea online' after about 15 retries I'd get in an play with no issues. I realised there's a 'auto login' button so thought that might make it quicker to login. Now it just keeps telling me it fails to connect so I assume the non auto login was working better than this haha! Two problems, I'm not sure if it is just the EA servers or me and secondly, I attempted to change my password but as It's on 'auto login' it's trying to login with the wrong password and I'm unable to change my details as it doesn't give me the option. I've tried deleting my settings files with no luck and I've tried a fresh install of the game :confused:

Any help on either front? The auto login is the main issue really, just want it to go back to having to login manually! Argh, thanks!

That's what I mean, I don't have the option. Because it is failing to connect to EA, it doesn't bring up the box for my email and password.

Yes, It updated the big patch but doesn't do anything after that one :confused:

I've also updated Punkbuster and nothing there :/

I know some of us required to add it to our firewalls exception list to play the game, maybe try that?

It's not just you. I fancied a game last night, logged on first time only to find 5 servers with no one playing world wide. Logged out/restarted game and couldn't even log in. Been like that since, tried earlier too. Cannot connect to EA online :/

Ah really? There were plenty of servers for me when I could actually get on but now I'm just stuck haha

It's down for scheduled maintenance as outlined here.

Perhaps they are having problems as it looks like it has overrun.
