BFBC2 has been down for 3 days!

Basically for the past 3 days you cannot log in and play bfbc2 - it just comes up with "Failed to login soldier."

no one from EA will give an eta on getting this fixed, nobody in EA support gives a ****, nothing new there

Anoyone know how to get them to wake up and deal with the issue

Original issue is that one of their servers dies and they had to replace the hardware and the OS, then the put tohe backup image on......now it doesnt take a day never mind 3 days to fix but they wont pull their finget out as usual

Anyone know how to get this escalated ? bad press.....anything will do
 
Even on new titles EA is slow at best. Its not exactly their strong point.

BF3 has probably been one of their better efforts. With BF4 due soon its a fair bet they have the janitor looking into BFBC.
 
That`s pretty ****** of EA.

You could possibly mail Kotaku, Rockpapershotgun, PCgamer etc. Nothing makes these companies act faster than bad press ;)
 
You can get around this by creating a new solider in lower case and play, but that's really not the point.
My thoughts EA don't care about BFBC2 after bringing that crap BF3 out, and now it's only going to diminish the player base even more with up and coming release of BF4.

Their best game IMO and it's going to die really fast now. Best course of action as pointed out in EA answers thread is to post on the message from the new CEO page.

Typical from EA, a lot of ppl posted on there about the issues, awaiting EA's response...................

Also just appears to be effecting soldiers with a upper case letter in :p

I think we have got to the bottom of the issue now :( the below from somone in EA

"We did not make this decision lightly but as an attempt to temporarily lower traffic on EA servers that is caused by the high traffic of newer players and accounts that have pre-ordered Battlefield 4 and Battlefield 3. After shutting down a majority of EA Battlefield Bad Company 2 account servers which accounted for approximately 40,000 player slots we have actually gained approximately 50,000 more player slots from new accounts for Battlefield 3 and Battlefield 4. We will have enough server capacity to allow over 150,000 players to get in a game server at once and that is just on PC."

hmmm... if we shut down bad company two game then maybe theyll get bored and buy bf3 or bf4 :rolleyes: you know they have done that such ********.
 
The sad thing that bc2 has a fairly healthy player base at the moment so they really messing with a lot of potential bf4 customers, still think it's very bad on their part taking stat servers from a current game, but hay, that's EA in a nut shell
 
Not that I like or play BC2, but this is silly. Plenty of people enjoy playing older games in the series. Have they done that same with older titles such as BF2142 and BF2?

EA have been taking multiplayer games down for over a decade in this exact same way.

there was a time when you expected an ea online game to only work for a year or two at best
