BFBC2 limited edition content from steam?

Hi guys! I purchased the limited edition bfbc2 game from steam. It stated that you would receive access to a few upgrades to the kit like better vehicle armour and a few weapon unlocks. How do i go about getting these? I have the promotion key from steam and have put it into the code redemption bit in the game and it said something about downloadable content is now available? where is it? am i missing something? hope someone can point me in the right dirrection as i need something to improve my chances as im playing terribly at the moment! lol!

once you first join a game, the unlocked weapons and whatnot will appear. I was wondering the same when I redeemed mine

Same happened to me, in your first game they should appear, when I pit the code in and looked at my gadgets etc nothing was there so they appear once you join your first game
