My old AV software, since uninstalled, detected pnkbsterA.exe as a virus, i moved it to vault as a precaution (stupid of me). Now no matter how many times I reinstall punkbuster I cant find pnkbsterA.exe in my sysWOW64 folder. Anyone know what I can do? I'm pulling at straws since all the guides for this online point to first finding that file. I cant run bfbc2 online til I fix this.

That's odd that you've uninstalled and it's still quarantining the file.
You didn't say what software you were using, but from what you've said I'd reinstall the AV software, in which you should have an exceptions list - add the file name, reinstall BFBC2, check the file is there and uninstall your VirusScan software.
