Preformance is consistently poor , almost always under 40 fps , have adjusted nvidia drivers settings for best preformance and have also updated to the latest WHQL drivers.
My config file is as follows:
[WindowSettings]
Width=1600
Height=1200
Fullscreen=true
RefreshRate=60
VSync=false
[Sound]
Quality=low
VoipEnable=true
SpeakerCount=0
[Graphics]
Effects=medium
Soldiers=medium
Vehicles=medium
Overgrowth=medium
Undergrowth=medium
StaticObjects=medium
Terrain=medium
Shadows=low
Bloom=false
HSAO=false
MSAA=0
Water=medium
MainQuality=custom
Texture=medium
DxVersion=9
Aniso=0
Detail=medium
RenderAheadLimit=0
Fov=65
Cheers for any help :)

In all fairness, your CPU (assuming it's at stock) is a fairly big bottleneck in this particular game.

BFBC2 loves quad cores, and requires fairly high clocks when running dual cores.

Yes it is at stock. Is there anything I can do to improve preformance , accept oc'ing?

your runnung a hannsG 28 inch and a gtx250, would think you need a bit of an upgrade in the graphics department

have you tried dx10

the GTS250 is DX10 by default.

He's lowered the DXver to 9 manually, which is meant to increase FPS slightly in BC2 :)

A 2.9 Athlon II X2 just isn't enough for this game. Get overclocking!

Set everything that says "medium" to "low". I have everything on low and I'm running a Q6600 and a GTX 260. Not saying I need the settings that low, but I prefer fps to visuals. I did find a difference between all medium and all low.

Edit: also you can try to add these values to your settings.ini, just paste them below what you have already. Make sure to back up the file first.

Gahhh , I have set EVERY setting to low and I still cannot get a constant frame rate of 50 fps :( . Looks like I'll have to leave this game until I upgrade.
