BFBC2 White/Black screen problem

Right folks need your help here. The game was running fine untill yesterday. I decided to overclock my GFX card ( MSI 5850) after a few experiments managed to get a stable clock/speed.

Tried BFBC2 out and after a few mins game crashed. Black screen for about 20 secs then a White screen and thats it. It wont budge.

(And yea i've even tried it with defualt clock speed on GFX card and the odd same problem)

It's happened a few times since yesterday afternoon. Anything i can do?

I'd have thought this should be pretty obvious...? Your overclock isn't stable.

I've put it back to defualt speed. And still the same problem.

I had this problem but mine was with a factory overclocked card (see this thread:http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18300520).

I found by lowering the clocks it stopped BC2 from WSODing.

Try underclocking it and see if you get the same crashes, if you don't then maybe by overclocking your card you have caused the same problem I had (see link).

Ah ok.

Another thing aswell. Since iv updated the drivers should i try rolling back to 11.6 and see how it goes before i try doing something like that?

Because when i was on 11.6 drivers it was running fine. Now 11.7 its been terrible.

Sorry, I must have missed that line.

You shouldn't have to lower your clock speeds, but perhaps your card is overheating. Maybe try leaving the side of your case off for a bit to see if it helps.

Or go back to the previous drivers, if they weren't problematic.
