Guessed right. While I am certain the Seasonic 700w will handle sli G80's as Jonny over on Jonnyguru.com has this setup with a quad cpu, I don't want the thing running at the limit where the blasted 60mm fan will be on all the time. The Silverstone 850w is my obvious choice, and while not as quiet as the Seasonic idle, under 8800GTX SLI conditions it might not be much louder even with the single 80mm fan. I was also considering the BFG, but reckon that could be a Topower made psu which comes with all the baggage of ripple issues, not being able to do rated voltage etc.. Another alternative is (compared to the silverstone) the cheaper PC Power and Cooling 750w Silencer which recently got G80 SLI certified for 8800GTX's. (hope I am not breaking the rules by mentioning PC P&C as they sell PSU's but not ones that OcUK sell). But this is just about doing 60amps (over the Seasonics 56amps) and at 40 degrees (Silverstone does 70 at 50 degrees). The other obvious alternative was the 850w Enermax Galaxy. However I have heard 2nd hand from a mate that it runs loud when gaming, and not that quiet idle. And a person I know on another forum with a well ventilated Antec 900 has noise issues as well. Besides the fan opening on the Mirage is not large enough to accomodate it.
