Hey i just got a 260 maxcore from bfg and am looking to overclock it, ive never overclocked a graphics card before and have downloaded riva tuner and evga
precision, are there any settings that are tried and tested that i can put into these programmes and get to work fine or are there many variables. thanks for any help i have no idea where to begin.

im trying avga precision with settings

Core:700
Shader:1509
Memory:1200
Fan:61

Ive run 3d mark 06 5 times with no issues on a 6th run i encountered white flashes of the screen for a few milliseconds during the graphics tests im guessing those are artifacts? how should i fix this using the above settings or does it not matter if it was ok for the first 5 runs?

Well what was the temperature readings when doing 3d mark?

I'd be interested in how you're getting on cos I have the exact same card.

I would try something else for a test too..maybe the crysis demo benchmark.

Maybe try ati tool or furmark too.

I have got the following stable

Core:725
Shader:1554
Memory:1250

not tried for more, but I think with the fan at 100% I may be able to pull a few benchmarks at higher clocks

Usually you will get between 1458 and 1512 stable on the shaders (these go up/down in steps of ~54MHz), half that on the core and around 1200-1350 stable on the memory.
