I presume you'll be doing a little gaming?

The 7600GT will be quicker for sure.

The 7600GT also has GDDR3 memory which is quicker than the GDDR2 on the EVGA.

The 512MB on the EVGA will not make a performance difference over the 256MB on the BFG.

The BFG is cheaper, as you say, so that's the one I'd go for. :)

7600GT will spank it. that 512mb of ram on the GS is a marketing gimmick, remember... ram is cheap, at the moment its almost as cheap as dirt.

But..... Here's another idea!

If you were thinking of spending the cash on the EVGA, then if you could get together another £27, then an X1800XT could be yours, which would blow them both into the weeds performance wise!

this is true, X1800XT can push about 60% above a 7600GT. all depends on your budget and your gaming resolution. ;)

Have you checked the memory section lately?! :)

These RAM prices will start to have an adverse effect on GPU pricing soon apparently, so best get in quick I reckon? ;)

given the memory market collapsed this year i doubt it very much, flash memory was especially badly hit.

The price range i could probally go up to is £150 this is including delivery.

and the resolution im using at the moment is 1440x900 (for css anyway) :)

At that resolution, then my cash would definately be going into an X1800XT as in this week only.

Best be quick if you are going to buy one though, as the items in it change tomorrow lunchtime and it might not be on offer!

Well, it might not be all bad, as previously it was on sale at approx £140 including the VAT, so with the £8 for delivery it's still just within your budget! :)

Fingers crossed for you that the price doesn't go up any higher than previously!

Edit: ok, 39p over your budget! ;)

If i do get the ATI card, would i have to do anything before i put it in? meaning, i'm currently on a NVIDIA card with them drivers

Most folks use driver cleaner whilst in safe mode to remove all traces of the Nvidia drivers, and then power down and install the ATI card.

I always remove coolbits and rivatuner as well if you've had them installed.

It should be pretty painless!
