hello, i have the 7800GT by bfg technologies.

I recently noticed it has been removed from the ocuk shop and a few other stores online - Is there something wrong with this card I dont know about?

Reason I ask is because I been suffering from a bit of heavy lag in my games, just wondering if there is a particular problem with these cards?

ps: my temps are hitting 50-60c I believe, thanks. :)

No problems im aware of, they were removed to make way for the 7900s i think. Your tems are fine, what games are lagging and whats the rest of your spec.

Welcome to the forums, and Owned!!

hi meatloaf, thx for the reply.

Battlefield2 Mostly, getting bad spikes etc
I think its the game itself though, you know what ea+dice are like=crap :D

Hi mate, i, colourblind, so your system specs were unreadable im afraid so i cant tell how much RAM you have.

EDIT : copied and pasted to wordpad!!

You could do with another gig of RAM for BF2, probably why it jutters, does the HDD light flash/stay on during the juttering?

Try clocking your CPU and GFX as well, should get at least 2.6 out of the 3700+

EDIT 2 : Set your RAM in the BIOS to 200Mhz ( DDR400 ) as its running under clocked at the moment

It's been covered but here we go anyways.
Your lag is system lag as your HD pagefiles. More ram would cure this although running your current ram at the right speed dropping all settings to low and only going on 32 man servers will help for now.

Before you do all that though sort your sig out it's terrible.

Welcome to the boards aswell.

Thanks guys !

Ok I will put my settings on low, my mem is now running at 200mhz.

I have the kingston KVR400 512MB but I can only afford £50 for now... Should I buy another x2 kingston 512's or buy the Corsair 1GB kit?

:)

edit: reason I ask because there are no kingston modules in the shop, does that meen you should stay away from kingston? (i've always seem as cheap and nast, but what do i know?)

Getting a 2gig matching pair. Buy them together as a pair and sell of the old.
Geil value is a good buy but if you want quicker you will have to pay more.
I run 2 gig of Geil value faultlessly.
