BFG 7800 GTX OC SLi problem

I got it workingg woooooo!!!! took everything out. Shoved both gpus in n it worked, added sound card..still worked, then added fan controller, fans n uvs n dvd drives...still worked, then added 2nd stick of ddr (2gb total)..still worked, added 3rd stick ddr...worked but showed only2.75gb ram. added 4th stick ddr...didn't work. So I can have my system running with 1xGPU and 4Gb ddr OR SLi 7800GTX and 2.75GB ddr!?

You no need for over 2GB in today games..Your system may even run slower with 4GB.

windows xp only recognises 3gb of ram, have you got xp64 as that can handle loads more? also some mobos dont like 4 sticks.

I've got xp x64 Pro. It works with 4GB ram when ive only got 1 GPU installed but not 2.

This machine is to be a beast. nah I run music players, firefox, Office documents (usually several), Video editing software and pic editing software plus even design sofware on the odd occasion for vrious projects I'm working on. Built this machine to handle everything I need now and be ready for the future developments plus gaming at high levels. I know I know .... built for the future but already in the past ...Thank you Geforce 7800 GTX 512s lol
