BFG 7800gt Problem

Hi,

My bfg7800 keeps defaulting to 800x600,and i had to change it to 1024 by 768.Turn the computer off and it goes back to 800 x 600,any ideas what it could be?

What version drivers are you using?

Would uninstall your drivers (add/remove programs), run driver cleaner (read the readme before you use it) and install them again.

You don't have any refresh rate force programs or anything like that installed either right?

ill try that,nothing like that at all,what is strange is when i did a clean install of windows,the resoultion goes massive,where before its just defaulted to 800 x 600,and in the bios,its missing the side of the screen slighty.

Just a slight edit on what Tetras suggested:

Uninstall drivers.
Reboot back in Windows. (not 100% necessary but I do it anyways)
Reboot to Safe Mode. (It's always a good idea to run Driver Cleaner in safe mode)
Run Driver Cleaner.
Reboot and reinstall new drivers.
