HI all,

Just a quick confirmation. If I buy the BFG 7900Gt and then install the Zalman VF900 cooler will it invalidate the warranty?

I have a feeling it will but could someone confirm?

Only EVGA allow 3rd party fan applications under warranty

Other manufacturers dont AFAIK

Whatever 7900Gt you buy, i would recommend you replace the stock fans for a VF900 . Make sure first though its not one of the borked ones floating about.

I don't think the stock cooler is too bad to be honest. I don't find it loud at all, and its performance isn't that bad. Mine idles at 45 and does about 60 in games. I was actually surprised given how tiny it is.

Stock coolers are fine, be i like no noise, and low temp, thus plump for the VF900 on the lowest fan speed. Heat generated by the 7900GT is amazing low...well is with a VF900 anyway.
