i dont think its beatable anywayz back to the card 8600 or not?

mate has a 8600gt and his 3dm scores are very slightly behind mine once overclocked.

8600gt damn good card to get, people will tell you its crippled by its memory bandwidth etc but don;t believe it. for a £65 card you really will be shocked to see how it runs games.

my mate got a opteron 146 @ 2.94ghz and with stock speeds of the 8600gt he scored 9449 in 3dm05. thats just too damn good for a card of that price with such low power consumption and low heat output.

The 7800gtx that i was going to put in my lads system has died and im looking for something for him to play Dawn of War and the like, it will be going with a 3700SD, have looked at the 8600gt (OCUK one).
Do you recomend this card then?

yes ocuk got good price on the 8600gt, it will run dawn of war great at 1600x1200 with all details at max even with 2xAA enabled.

Cheers mate, it will be running at 1280x1024 so hopefully will be able to handle FEAR with half decent eye candy, just ordering now, hopefully it will be a nice clocker .
