I've just got a new BFG 8800 GTS OC2 640mb card and I'm trying to find the safest overclock for it.

Normally I'd use ATI Tool to check for artifacts, but version 0.26 won't work and keeps telling me to enable the graphics adaptor in desktop properties.

The card sells as a 580/1700 overclock out of the box. I've taken it gingerly to 625/1900 without much problem and gotten 10700 in 3D06, which being not far short of stock GTX speeds I'm pleased with.

Temps are around 70c under load which still seems low compared to the GTX I had earlier in the year that regularly hit 90c.

What speeds have people hit with these cards recently on air? I'm not wanting to damage it but it looks as though it's still got more in it and without a reliable way to test for artifacts I'm a bit nervous.

Had my 8800GTS 640mb benching lastnight at 660/2000. If I go past 1025mhz memory corruption starts and GPU in AtiTool stopped auto max clock at 663.
