HardOCP have a review of the above card, pitching it against the GTS and the GTX. What it doesn't do though is compare two of these in SLI against the GTX and SLI'd GTX.

In my mind, two GTX's is extravagant and silly money but two of these OC2's may just be the ticket.

Does anyone

a) Have two of these? or

b) Know of any review comparing the cards as above.

Cheers
Vorm

p.s. What and when is NVidia's next big release? Any links?

I'm fairly sure that buying any kind of pre-overclocked GTS or GTX is a waste as the stock ones will overclock to the same level.

And in practice, you're paying extra just for that - for nVidia to overclock it for you.

To be fair, it looks like the OC2 verison is only a tenner more expensive and will have a warranty to run at these clocks?

Worth it? Maybe.

Still need to see some SLI'd reviews too. Most likely two of these will cope lovely with a 24" at 1920 x 1200.

Check out tomshardware vga charts to see a comparison of SLI cards, as I recall when I looked SLI GTS 640MB beat a single GTX in almost every test, take that with a big pinch of salt though as it depends on res and many other settings

Won't a single GTX do that nicely?

Most likely, but when you look at the games coming out later this year and the fact that I'm going to be trying to run them in 1920 x 1200, I am thinking that more bang may well be needed.

Sure the GTX will do it nicely atm, but I'm trying to future proof as much as possible without spending stupid money.

I was just looking through those yeah. Boy, the dual GTX's kick serious ass. I didn't realise how far ahead they were.

And Melbourne, that is a fine idea, especially if you decide you need another one a whiles later, after they come down in price :D

Three times the performance of a G80?

Oh no. Falling into the trap of waiting for the next gen to upgrade!
