What speeds are you running your BFG 8800 GTS at?

Clock speeds?

Aftermarket air cooling?

Water?

3D 06Marks?

What overclocking software are you using?

Lots of people (including myself) have bought these so the info would be valuable to people looking to squeeze more from it.

*My speeds to be updated soon as i will be using this thread to get ideas*

600/900. First attempt, seems fine, i'll try higher later.

Stock HSF with speeds of 620/2000.

Rivatuner under Vista currently reporting 60 degrees celcius, with two windowed games running and a lot of other stuff going on.

This opens up a nice can of worms. I'm gonna have a go :D

big difference in XP / Vista. I knew there was some difference, didn't think it'd be that much!

BFG 8800GTS OC 320mb

Current highest clocks under benchmark testing: 625/1890

3DMark05 - 16.7k
3DMark06 - 10.3k (not tested at clocks above)

Complete stock air cooling.

Gainward Bliss 8800GTs

513/792 Stock - Temps 54c Load
650/900 OC - Temps 63c Load

Max OC to do a full loop of 3DMark06 was 680/1000 but its not fully stable under air :(

Still cant crack 11k in 3dmark tho :(

My one at stock is 58degrees under no stress. why is it so high compared to all others here?

O geez small overclock done, and its at 69 when under load, takes time to get there though.

Shall i regrease it with my expensive grease?
im using nVidia monitor

EDIT, Gainward 8800 320Mb here.

Whats the airflow like in your case? I have 2 intakes blowing into the bottom of my case with the PSU then blowing the air upwards into the GTS allowing it all to either blow over the card or straight into the cooler and exhausted out the back. I found that turning off the intakes or putting another expansion card in the way of airfow pushed my temps up by about 10-13c!!

Might be worth setting up an intake fan to blow cold air straight across or into your GTS?

air flow shouldnt be a problem, iv taken both my side panels off and will be off while at home.. i have a seperate fan blowing in to the intake of the GC atm...

Might see some benefit by taking the HSF off and applying AS5 or another decent thermal paste. Maybe also give your fan and HSF a clean as mine got quite dirty and clogged pretty quick until i fitted air filters to the case fans.

It may well void your warrenty however.

I'm willing to give it a go, so any info in the internet for a 'proper' way of doing it?
or shall i come up with one :p

ok, I just did it...
i reapplied thermal grease, and WOW the differnce, now barely does 62 under load clocked at 607Mhz core and 948Mhz mem.

I took photos, shall i make a guide :p
