As title,
Got to admit BFG's service so far has been good.
I emailed them last night, and got a reply today.
Just waiting for a second email so i can return my card.
What do you think i will recieve ?.
Will they repair it ?
Or send me a replacement ?
If its a replacement what do you think ill get ?

I hope its not a 9800GTX
I found my receipt in the box. £427.00 inc delivery
I bought it when they were first released
Yep i know now ;)

A 8800 GTX since they still have them for sale......for now.

In a few weeks time you might have got a 9800GTX

To be honest i think i would be happy with another 8800GTX.
An overclocked one would be a bonus as my old one was bog standard.

I guess BFG are just running out their stock of 8800GTX's.
Am i right that Nvidia dont make them anymore ?

Yup, gtx ultra and i believe the 640\320mb gts's ended their production runs a while back. I can see bfg having a few gtx' sitting around for rma purposes though.

Can someone cheer me up by telling me from previous experience how wonderful BFG are with their RMA's

I can't tell you from experience but I have seen some pretty amazing replacements over the time on this forum. Someone got a 8800GTX after their 7950GX2 died .

On that respect I wouldn't be expecting the 9800GX2. I think that person just got mighty lucky. Also one got an Ultra back after sending back a failed 8800GTX. I'd say the 8800GTX or 8800Ultra would be your replacement.

Its still sat here in its box.
Im waiting for BFG to email me so they can tell me where to send it.
Although i believe its somewhere in Wales.

Next to the potnoodle mines............

Look on the bright side.......you might get a 9900GTX by mistake.....

My own experience with a BFG rma was nothing short of top class. I sent my borked 8800gtx by dhl delivery on monday 28th and received a replacement 8800gtx by friday 1st.

BFG RMA are brilliant, when my 7800gs starting crashing on me, I sent them an email and was given a reply very quickly. All I had to do was send back my card and they sent back another one (based on a better core) within 3 days which I thought was excellent and to make things better, this card is a much better overclocker.
