BFG 8800GT OC question

Can anyone confirm that the BFG 8800GT OC and OC2 are exactly the same cards hardware-wise (memory and heatsink/fan) and the only difference is that the latter is clocked higher out of the box (which can be done easily with RivaTuner)?
Should I save £20 and go for the OC then overclock it to OC2 speed (when needed)?

Cheers.

Cheers for the reply:)
Not sure if I should get BFG 8800GT OC or Leadtek 8800GT ZL as I quite fancy the Zalman cooler but there aren't many reviews of the Leadtek.

I have an 8800GT OC

Currently clocked to 702/999 using stock cooling, and using RivaTuner fan profiles idles at 55ish, and ive never seen it above 80, even in crysis.

In normal gaming it hovers around 65-70

BFG and Leadtek are equally good. Zalman cooler is highly regarded. Most of the PCBs used by 8800GT are reference design so the answer is obvious.

Leadtek - better cooler and cheaper, but with only a 2 year warranty...

TBH, id upgrade within 2 years, so this would be my choice (well it would have been if it was available when I bought my BFG OC for £180! lol)

Didn't realise that the new 8800GTS 512MB has more shaders and higher clocks than the old one, silly me thought it was slower than 8800GT.
POV 8800GTS 512 on offer for only £164, has made my life so much easier, there's only one logical choice :D
