BFG 8800GT OC

nah the scammer in romania got the card but i lost 266 as i had to refund the original account holder

not like im made of money either it been a bad month plus huge bank charges as i had none to refund the person

I also have the problem of sometimes when I boot up, I get no display. I have had to take out the gfx card and put it back in to get a picture again.

This is an EVGA 512mb SSC, not clocked it at all Ill check it's bios with GPUz when I get home.

Is this the same issue everyone else is getting, should I RMA?

no i guess i was lucky having a different problem

mine lockedup and artifact lots of green squares requiring a reboot after about ten mins of play unless i underlocked the memory and not a heat issue

Wow, I had EXACTLY the same problem. No signal(the screen doesn't show anything). And as you said the fan stays loud rather than slowing down.

I sent it back and I got a refund. Now, I want a single GT in the market and I have only seen 1 MSI in stock. Is the MSI and good brand? Please anyone?

Ill have to watch mine as my fans do go full wack on startup, haven't noticed if they stay full whack the times it won't display a picture.

Yeh rEee, same problem.

And dKore thats what mine started doing, i'd have to re-seat to get it to work. It did this once a week in general, sometimes more, for about 4 weeks ( give or take ) then on friday it happened again but wouldn't work after re-seating, re-connecting etc etc etc

MDK88, can you let me know the process you had to go through to RMA your card. I'm considering buying a BFG 2nd hand but looking on the website, BFG do not carry the warranty onto the new owner.

In your experience, have you had to prove you were the original purchaser of the card?

Thanks in advance.

I haven't mate.

I sent them an email explaining the problem, and i informed them i had original purchase information.

They then emailed back asking for two serial numbers, which are on stickers provided on the underside of the card itself.

I emailed those numbers and got a reply with an address to send it to, in a plain box. It needs to be securely packaged and you send just the card, you aren't allowed to send it in the retail box, or with any cables, cd's etc.

And there you go, i didn't have to give them any purchase information.
