BFG 8800GTS OC 512Mb Driver Issues

My friend has just bought this card but the only drivers that will work are the ones on the CD... If he downloads them for either Vista64 or XP Pro 32Bit they do not seem to work... Its very strange.. They just say that there are no compatible devices for those drivers... Very confused..

I've just bought that exact card. Are you using Forceware 163.75?

need to use the latest beta drivers that added support for the 8800 GTS

its a new card so the latest WHQL drivers dont have support for the card, only WHQL signed drivers that will work are the ones on the CD. and they're ones from november that have been hacked to add support for the GTS

ive got an 8800 G92 GTS and the latest 169.25 drivers work fine.

I am sure he has tried the 163.62 and 163.75... Will download the 169.25 drivers for him...

163.62 and 163.75 seem too early to me

G92 8800 GTS 512mb support was only put on drivers released after release date. Release date of the card was 11th of december, so its only the 169.x drivers that will recognize them

or the hacked ones that come with the driver CD.

Looking at it its a fault on the site.. If you choose 8800GTS 512Mb it gives you a driver that doesnt support that card.. lol
