BFG 8800GTX Overheating?

Thanks for the help everyone :)

KelticDaz: I couldn't get that method to work, I can't change the values

I noticed that with mine, I think its a slight buggete with 2.09, persevere, restart it a couple of times and it will kick in.

Yep, it seems fine with the side panel on @ 100% GPU fan speed. Only problem is, Rivatuner doesn't like Vista x64 due to unsigned drivers :(

use a programs called Easy BCD download it from google you have the option to turn off unsigned drivers, unistall rivatuner then install easy BCD and make sure the box is ticked to allow unsigned drivers then install rivatuner

All sorted now, I installed by dragging the license file included with the installer into the installer to start it ;)

Craig.

I thought the 8 series was fine even in the mid 90's? My 8800GT hits 82-83c (atleast it did in my old case) and its been fine. The blue screens are probably a driver problem?

It should be fine, yes, but mine isn't :(

One of my attempts at fixing it was reinstalling Vista, but that didn't work.

Glad to see you are another success story Craig. :)

Thanks for the help :)

Thanks everyone else as well for the input :)
