ive just got this card now i have a question,

now looking at the BFG GTX 285OCX is there any different part in this compared to my gtx 285 oc+, the reason iam asking is will i be able to overclock mine to the ocx speeds

Usually what happens is a Company buys a batch of GFX cards & tests them, Those that Produce get the fancy sticker & lable & box & are sold overclocked, Those that don't clock well then just get sold at default speeds.

This is not an absolute rule just a General rule.

Therefore you may be lucky & get a good clocker but it's doubtful.



I've just read my own post here & can't think where I know/heard that from, So I've confused myself & cannot provide a source. :o + :p
 
ahh ok see wot your saying, so bfg have proberly tried to overclock mine but could only get it stable at the oc+ speeds
 
That would be my understanding but like I said I can't even remember where I heard that from.
