Hi all, well this card is now up and running so im going to tap the forum for info, has anyone here successfully flashed to a different BIOS with these to tweak a little bit more performance? I would prefer the BIOS route long term as I cant be bothered with soft overclocks... What OC's have people managed to get out of their BFG's out of interest? I will be starting this project on Friday :-) so any advice pre then appriciated.

MY BFGGTX280 OC is a very poor clocker considering I have it water cooled. Could probably eke out a tiny bit more performance but not much more.

665 GPU clock
1458 shaders
1200 mem

I remember from my nvidia 6800 days that you increase the voltage on those cards with a bios change which would help getting a higher clock. Can you do this on a 280gtx or are your only options to increase the frequencies based on the default voltage?

Just done my own bit of research and apparently you can adjust the voltages by modifying the bios with nibitor, however, with the gtx280 when running in full game mode the card is by default set to use the maximum selectable voltage (a drop down box). Hence there is no point trying to mod the bios to increase volts, the only option is to hard mod the card with pots. The gtx260 on the other hand can be volt modded in the bios as by default it uses the next voltage down in the drop down box, i.e. move it up one notch to match the gtx 280 default.
