bfg gtx280 problems

I have a bfg gtx 280 which will run Battlefield 2 for a few mins before corrupting and displaying a lot of pink corruption on screen. I am guessing it is just dying when loaded?
Fan is spinning so not sure what else it could be? any ideas? or is it an RMA job?

What drivers are you using? Is this in all games?

yes-all games, latest drivers from microsoft and have tried latest nvidia drivers. I am guessing it is just breaking down under load but have never had a card do this before?

Is it just BF2 that does this?

What are the temps like when the game is running?

Card has today been RMA'd, i am a little gutted as i want to play, lucky the old BFG 8800 GTS is still going i guess!
