BFG - Terrible support

very surprised, ive only ever heard good things about BFG support.

As somebody stated they are withdrawing fro europe so maybe there in the transition stage and everything a bit..... Blurgh.

but as a customer thats no good for us :)

heard great things about EVGA for your future purchase..

Replacement card GTX 8800 OC2 they sent out, just died on me.

Only had it running for a week in windows, didn't even play any games on it.

And still no reply from them on my RMA for my BFG motherboard that caught on fire.

Yeah great service from them right now for sure. Makes me wonder if they'll go under anytime soon.

It didn't by any chance get lots of little squares all over the screen during the BIOS screen etc but then showed now image once windows had loaded?
My first card did that during a game of L4D2, replacement lasted about 2 weeks then i played BF2, black screen, crash, booted up to find the little squares back and no image after windows had loaded.
Got a replacement sitting here now, its got a bit condensation on it somehow so im going to let it dry off over night before it try it tomorrow, however i have a feeling it will go the same way.

Also surely these 8800GTXs they're sending out are refurbs however im sure i heard Jeff say they didn't sent out refurbs but i could be wrong.

Yeap, it did just that, and my card is a refurb for sure.

Have you stopped to think maybe they domt have any stock of the 260 seen as it is EOL and also nvidia have stopped the manufactor of all there cards so supplies are rather low

I hope i dont come accross as being brash here, but if the company doesnt have a replacement what are they to do?

There are several options, the first of which is to contact the customer and actually let him know what's going on (not ignore all communication). If you offer a lifetime warranty on a product then it should be just that - the consumer is not interested in whether a model has gone end of life. It's standard practice for manufacturers to hold stock of obsolete kit for this very reason. Worst case scenario (for the manufacturer) is to replace the product with the nearest equivalent from the product range.

Is it actually the same card back?

Yep. It had been to the US to be repaired by the looks of it.
