BFME2 Wont Run.

Hi guys, i installed this game today, started it and it ran perfectly fine. I updated to the latest patch and tested it and it ran perfect again but the problem was the game wasnt in my native rez so i edited the options.ini. Since then the game is just completely dead, nothing happens when i try to open the exe or shortcut. I added a nocd and the game runs but problem being i installed the game to play over gameranger with friends so i cannot have a nocd. I have reinstalled countless times to no avail, but since changing the options.ini the whole my battle for middle-earth folder doesnt even get installed and i have to create it myself.

Ive searched everywhere for an answer to why the game is broken, is there anyone out there that can help?! p.s im running windows 7 64.

Just tried without the disc in drive and same thing happens, so it doesnt even get as far as to read the disc.

Its a very well known issue with 64-bit versions of windows and this game.

yeah already tried that but didnt work works for everyone who gets an error about a disc not in drive but i dont even get that! i get the little blue circle for 2 seconds then nothing.



This is so annoying! why is it when i replace the game.dat with a crack the game will run? but if i want to play online with the genuine game.dat the game wont even start! peice of ****!

I thought id install a few old games see whats going on, DK2 works, AoE 2 and 3 work, fear and coh but.... generals + zero hour dont, have the same exact thing where nothing happens at all when i try start the game, i tried all the option.ini fixes but again to no avail. its looking like my pc hates EA games but who can blame it.If only i could play my favourite games
