My parent's bedroom suffers from a condensation problem, putting our two dehumifiers in there managed to prevent mould forming on the carpet, wallpaper and window like it did one time, it was always the plan to swap to one heavy duty dehumidier, but it wasn't urgent, it was working ok as it was, I've just chucked one of them away as I noticed a burning smell in the hall, which I traced to the dehumifier, took a look inside and the motor for the fan has been burning (the windings are blackened, and the plastic is burnt and melted off). So we need to get the heavy duty one soon, so anyone have any recommendations? know where the best place to purchase such an item would be?
