Well for one he's not wearing flats ;)

Whoops! Spot the noob. For curiosity's sake, any idea what they are?

My mate got five ten freeriders and they are nice, however not something I would personally go for. Low Impact all the way!

Aren't Low Impacts aimed at downhillers? I'm into the trail riding hence why I looked at the FreeRiders. I'm willing to consider them though :)

All I ride is trail riding and I find them the best for everything.

Guys, if you buy a wheel from CRC , like the hope evo does it come ready built?

I think those are the ones I got, but in black + blue. Got them for £56.19 which was a lot cheaper than anywhere else. (link)

Finally caved and bought the Thule WingBar Edge + ProRide 591s today, even though I hate the look of them. £355, ouch.

Just about to place an order on crc for some pads n stuff. It seems that with collect plus, there should be no problem ordering stuff in 2 sizes and simply sending back the bits which do not fit. Has anyone doen this, is there a problem with it, or is it exepcted ?

Yup, no problem returning part or all.

Horrible news about that girl that got hit at a DH Race

RIP - really feel for the racer who's bike hit her :(
Jeez what an awful accident :(

To come first, first you must finish.

That being said, Rat's incident was far closer to the finish line.

Looks lush

I was close to getting a Thomson dropper but in my view it's over kill for UK trail riding. I didnt need to stop at any point in Scotland to lower my seat height. Plus they weigh 600g, a pound heavier than a standard post.

I used to think a dropper was pointless until I picked up a cheap second hand reverb. So much more convenient on trails with lots of climbs and drops. The descents feel so much more controlled being able to drop the saddle on the fly.

Your view is wrong :D
Until you've had one, you will not understand.

All my ride buddies have them. I tested them out around the various Scotland skills tracks and yes they are useful but the benefit is small and not worthy of the weight, realiabitly and cost issues.

One of my buddies even stopped at the top of a couple of rock drops because he couldn't get the seat down in time. I just ride past him and did them no problem.

weight? difference between a reverb and my previous post is about the same as having a poo pre-ride.

picked mine up for £95 :D
