That is absolutely gorgeous. Looking nice and clean as well, bet it won't be like that on day 5 of your Wales trip. :p
Thanks. Hopefully it won't be like that by Saturday afternoon... We've got Llandegla, CyB (Cyflym Coch - it's just brilliantly smooth), Cadair Idris (mountain) planned and Nant yr Arian on the way back Wednesday.. enough mud and rain to break it in.
rhys that bike is ridiculously hawt!
How do you like the Formula brakes?
Cheers Andelusion :) Sure has cost enough to get it that way.. Pleased with the finished article mind :D
Not sure yet - I've not ridden it!! :( Didn't have time on the weekend after I'd finished building it.
A week Thursday i'll report back and fill you in on how they were. It's being broken in by a trip to N.Wales starting Sat (above) so it'll have been given a good workout.
Only thing left to decide is whether to change the pads... I'm thinking, new rotors = new pads. (Brakes weren't brand new)

My Specialized Command post has developed a some 'twist play' It feels like the back end is loose. :( Any idea how i send stuff for a service to specialized. Or is it a service issue? 250miles since new...

"best dropper seat post on the market!"

Take it to local Spesh dealer?

Sell it and get a KindShock i950 :D

Hey guys, I didn't think it was worth starting a new thread about this so hopefully somebody can help me out. Does anyone know of any place online I can sell my cycling gear (helmet, clothing, other accessories) other than ebay?

southerndownhill and bikeradar tend to be your best bets.

Went to the life cycles premier in Glasgow last night....What a load of drivel.

What didn't you like about it? I'm yet to see it but am quite excited to do so :)

lol you are so smooth.

It just was a bit too much "ooh look close up of grass" "Oh look how we can make trees go through the seasons" and was all DH/FR focused from what I remember. Vast actually seemed better overall apart from the "Oh look at a corner slowwwwww mooooooooooooooo........oh look another corner sloooooooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwwwwww mooooooooooooooooooooo"

Very well made and artisticaly pleasing but just didn't do much for me either. My guinness in the pub beforehand did more for me :)

As mentioned SDH and bike radar are good, but personally I find the singletrackworld magazine forum is much much more active than the other two, some real bargains on there too but you have to check very often because they get snapped up quickly.

As jonny says, there was too much tree's and grass growing, not enough riding. Probably only half the film was riding footage, the rest was tripe. I was really looking farward to this movie too (so much so that i went to the premier), but i was pretty dissapointed with it, VAST was much better. It's just too slow for a mountain bike movie.

The whole thing just seemed to be trying too hard to get across somesort of message, not quite sure what it was though.

Bit the bullet the other day and bought myself my first bike:

Specialized Hardrock 23" (I is a lanky mofo).

Decided against the disc version to save a bit of cost and also I preferred the non-disc scheme of white/black.... Hope its as good as people say...

Should be here for a ride (weather permitting) next weekend....

after some advice, i'm off to the alps this summer with some friends biking. I'm wanting to get into more DH type stuff but i need a new bike.
I've got a Maximum of 1900 to spend. I don't mind if its 2010 or 2nd hand.
Been looking at sx trails and demos so far.

cheers
martin
