BikeTape ordered.... Be good if I could remove the slight scratches before applying it but don't want to use anything too harsh and make it worse e.g. T-Cut... Any recommendations ?

For the chain stays I wouldn't worry about getting the scratches out just stick another protecter on our get some frame wrap I am in need of some but it is currently out of stock!

Advise needed chaps,

What do you think is a fair price for a set of 140mm QR15 Marzocchi 44 TST2 2009 that are pretty much brand new (ridden once) and have no wear on ?

I put them up on a popular bike forum for £150 as I think they're easily worth that, but am getting squeezed for £130.

Should I stick to my guns or let them go as in reality no one wants Marzocchis ?

What do you think ?

That's one I've looked at after reading a review on BR. Are Easton or Hope stems good, as they are slightly cheaper?

I run a hope stem, cant fault it.

Just make sure the surface is clean.
Quick tip for putting th tape on: run water into a buckett, and put the tiniest dash of fairy liquid in it (seriously, very little).
Peel the tape and submerge the tape in the water soaking it.
Apply the tape to the tubing and if it's not stuck where you want it, you can slide it around, or remove and re stick it on.
Once it's in the right spot, use an old credit card to work out the water and bubbles.

Perfect fitting biketape!

Managed to get 95% of them out with Mr Sheen LOL :D

I went over the bits of the frame I am going to tape so its ready (no point in taping a dirty section) and Mr Sheen managed to take off all the black marks/greasy grime that was on the frame. Turned out that practically all the "scratches" on the left chainstay was rubbery stuff off my shoes which just wouldn't budge with normal cleaning :)

Don't worry, I aint going to turn into one of these tarts that prefers a showroom bike as opposed to using it but, even so, I feel that protecting the bits that get hit all day with the crap (underside of downtube, chainstays etc) is a wise choice.

Be handy if it turned up tomorrow mind
