Yeah I know, I run a double and bash.

It's for a different frame (Transition Covert) than my current (direct-mount) FD on my Enduro SL.

I think I've realised I need this one:

http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Models.aspx?ModelID=28028

Which is low clamp (I now realise - I think, what this means) as my frame requires it.

Still a bit confused about the chainline spec though?

The 51mm chainline on the frame refers to the distance from the middle of the ST to the middle ring in a triple ring configuration. As you're buying a double only derailleur the 46.8mm refers to the distance to between the two rings, it will work fine.

It's a shame they have gone but over here their products were too expensive and not really up there performance wise either.

WTF?

Raceface cranksets have been droolworthy for years... a good alternative to the big S. The bars are/were amongst the best in the business.

I'll be sad to see them go.

and yes I am building the bike in the study, it is bloody freezing in the garage and the carpet is about as dirty as the garage floor anyway.

I still have an odd bubble on my tape but, to be fair, you only see it if you look for it and the main aim of the tape is protection which it still does so CBA removing them :)

I am still contemplating taping up the rest of my frame but not sure if its worth it TBH. I have the following taped up:

Along top of Top Tube - full length and extending down sides slightly
Along underside of Down Tube - full length and extending up sides slightly
Rear of Seat Tube - full length

I concentrated on these areas as I felt they were the areas likely to have a higher chance of impact from crap off the wheels etc.

I also have a brace of Lizard Skins neoprene guards for the 2 chainstays (I suffer heel rub)

Contemplating taping:

Underside of Top Tube - need to remove cables to do it tho :(
Top of Down Tube
Front of Seat Tube
Both Seat Stays
Head Tube
Fork Arms

Just not sure if these areas are really prone to damage... What is other people's experience with these areas in relation to being prone to damage?
