I just did mine this weekend with a length of 5.0mm ID hose from B&Q, worked a treat.

And now the bikes ready for the Cannock group ride...bar some different forks and some fine tuning :D

That's gonna be a beast at Cannock, nice bike!

I've just bought this, needed a bike to get me back on the trails since I've been okayed to ride by the physio :)

Rides really nice, feels just as nice as I can remember my enduro did on the descents, but the lighter weight makes it climb nicely too. The guy I bought it from was a bit shorter than me so I need to get a new seatpost as this is cut far too short for me.

Spent the evening trying to get the front mech running better, I think I've lost the ability to set gears up!

Easiest way is to just open the bleed nipple and push the fluid up to the reservoir...shimano have a clamp that allows you to collect it in a container but a rag around the reservoir would do the trick.

I feel it gives a better bleed and it's quicker. Avid and shimano are both bled in that direction.

I don't get too excited about new stuff now :( used to sit and drool over certain products and now I just don't care about it too much. I work on high end road stuff all the time and that has the same effect...

Not sure how it could be quicker, took me less than 10 minutes to do both front and back, with perfect results first time. Pushing fluid through requires you to first bleed the syringe your using so thats an extra step, its the same way Hayes are done and it was rubbish.

Fair dooz, whatever works best for you really. I've done it quite a lot and it appears to work quite well.

Spent today riding around Clifton Country Park down the Kingfisher Trail, it has 'no bike' signs around it but the part around clifton has some decent technical singletrack. I suck at jumping and have managed to cheese grate my legs on the spikes of my DMRs.

Next time you do down clifton let me know i will pop along, its my local area.

I will do, I live near Bolton town centre but we're going to be moving down towards Clifton/Swinton in the next few months. I'll probably be down in Clifton on Tuesday/Wednesday, I'm determined to do the Kingfisher way all the way from Drinkwater Park to Jumbles reservoir sometime soon.

I will come down either of those nights, i usually go in by way of this path.

Nice long steep hill all the way to the river. Kingfisher way sounds good.

Is it downhill to the river? I got lost today and ended up on the railway bridge after climbing a pretty beasty hill, it was probably the same one. I just park in the main car park usually and go from there.

the Kingfisher Trail runs about 15km in total and it isn't a loop, so I don't want to commit to it and be completely worn out miles away from the car. You've probably been on it in Clifton, it's the narrower singletrack at the opposite side of the water to where you enter, it's got quite a few little technical parts with small wooden bridges and walkways.

Rode the Firmounth/Fungle long today.

Map

The climb up to Gannoch is a killer at 731 meters. But the descent is awesome.

I love the classic XC trails. Glad I rode the Blur and not the T2 though. :D

Yeah that's my usual trail, well if your down there one night i can meet you in the car park.

I was out at Cannock today - had such a wicked time though that said, by god I pushed a lot especially towards the end! So miffed as the end of the trail has some great descents but my cameras memory card filled up (i forgot to format it for quite some time)

Rob's cannock vids tickled my fancy - so tried the obligatory "fork shot". Only a quick vid, but I kinda like the angle. Will clear the memory card and do a proper vid sometime soon :p

(ps: HD is much better)

Cool video.. What camera did you use for it?

I went and christened my bike at Llandegla today, did the red and blue trails. Felt a lot better than my Rockhopper, full suspension is definitely the way forward! :)

Nice little vid. That's the very last section isn't it? Is the camera mounted securely, it looks like there is quite a lot of shake in that vid?

I like that, its hard to see how much a fork does when you're riding along, but vids from that angle show how hard they work..

I'll hopefully be moving to Stoneclough/Kearsley at some point :) Can't wait, shoud free up funds for me to buy a car and then I can actually get out to places I can't get to on the train.
