Big Brother will return next year

If it returns to how it used to be it could be interesting. Give me a mix of young and old people from different backgrounds and it could be a right laugh, especially when it comes to the time for the shopping list!

If it's just going to be all body beautiful young people it'll just be a rubbish clone of Love Island.

gotta agree. the early seasons of the original run of BB were quite good and entertaining. a hotty or 2 wouldn't hurt but not a bunch of loverlies please!
 
No interest in the return. The early seasons were interesting and a good experiment but they messed with the format and it literally became a ****show.
 
It’ll be overproduced like everything these days. Big brother had a place when it first launched since seeing how other people lived and interacted was a novel idea, but with social media and everyone and their dog posting daily vlogs, it’s unlikely to have the same impact today. Plus they’ll be influencer airheads.
 
Guff like this is cheap TV that's why they like it.

Same as the so called talent shows , no scripts and no actors.

I really enjoyed the first series where it was still a bit of a social experiment and they had no idea how many people were watching them. They also seemed free of any inhibitions and weren’t all hung up on being utterly perfect for the cameras. I liked the 24 hour feed via the website although it wasn’t very reliable.

I’ve always enjoyed people watching and that first year was perfect.

The trouble was that after a handful of years, the housemates seemed to be picked because they were weird, crazy, unbalanced people.

Go back to normal people, give them mindless tasks to earn money for shopping. Basically recreate the style of the very first series. Stream the whole lot.

They won’t though.
 
I can vaguely remember the first series back in 2000, it was quite controversial and a bit exciting to see how the experiment panned out even though you only saw a few clips on TV.

How is that possible, it's not even HD right? (at least on Freeview anyway)
The first thing I did was create a fav channels list and only include the HD channels, so ITV2 is dead to me.
