*** Big Fat Weight Loss Thread ***

When I go diet extreme its kinda extreme. I can go all day without eating. So I'll have a big coffee in the morning Nearly a pint of milks worth. Then I can go all day and into late evening. So if I can get to 22:30-23:00 without eating then I'll have 2 chicken breasts with a dry rub or my own Passata mix. I can ignore the hunger pangs all day... But I simply cannot go to bed hungry.

I kept that up for 9 months, With the occasional cheat day. The issue I found is eat crap want crap.. So if i had occasion to eat during the day, If out on the road it'll be crap food and that would set off a chain reaction of then wanting carbs and sugar....

Anyone looked at those Prepped Pots

The main problem is that beer is delicious. Definitely cancelled out any gains with some beers this evening. On call at the weekend so did my weekly allowance in one night I guess.

Still lacking the final bit of focus needed here.
Big Drop's Citra pale ale is basically zero calorie and really helps my beer cravings. You can have it between real beers to make it feel like a bit more of a session whilst reducing your calorie and booze intake.

Big drop are excellent beers. Didn’t realise Amazon did them. Might order some! I always enjoy lucky saint, but I hadn’t realised it’s 5 times the calories! Loads better than alcoholic beer of course and doesn’t give the after effects. It’s an absolute winning switch which I would have never got on board with a few years back… but I’ve had an Infinite Session IPA and a Lucky Saint Lager on a Friday night and really enjoyed them.

EDIT - low alcohol beer on tap in a pub is a brilliant move too. Sunday lunch out with a pint of non alcoholic beer works very well.

89.9kg this morning (unusual for a Sunday/weekend). Haven’t had any alcohol this weekend which has probably helped that. Work still to do, but feeling good. Hope everyone else is making progress coming into the spring!

Bang on 87kg this morning
85.1kg this morning, been the same for a couple of days, so very nearly 2kg lost since 6th Feb. Super happy with that.
Knocked breakfast on the head a week ago, and just bought some protein powder and I'll start having a shake for lunch (200cals) and it'll help with the gym too.
Still keeping away from the booze. Plan is to do that until May, but we'll see!

Weighed in at 14st 12 this morning, despite a largish take out last night. It's been 3 years since I managed this sort of weight, when I lasted about a month in this area. I have about a month until I go cycling in Mallorca and the weight will come back a little, for sure, but maybe I can shave 3 or 4 lbs further before I go to make those climbs a little easier. (Funnily enough that last visit under 15st was on my run up to Mallorca trip at this time of year)

Usually, I would expect it to bounce back up a little by Wednesday as I re-hydrate, but maybe this will stick a little better?

I was sitting pondering on the bog (as you do). I think it's very much a mental state of mind for me that I keep seeking solace in chocolate with no real desire to shift the blubber. As you may remember, 2 years or so ago I was sitting at my target weight of 76kg (down from 118kg! by mostly doing keto/low-carb) but did I feel any happier? Not really. Maybe that's why I'm not in the right frame of mind to get back there again. Losing weight made my running easier for sure and it was good to wear nice slim-fitting clothes in the summer but I was still pretty much sad with other things in my life. But god knows how I even begin to sort that stuff out. :D

Unexpected 19 day break from swimming and felt beyond terrible today getting back to it. Probably due to lack of carbs at lunch if I’m really honest, but the rational side of my brain doesn’t function well when it’s taking on water…! Foot cramp was particularly unpleasant. Managed 50 lengths with quite a few breaks. Running a decent deficit today. Probably need a few more days like that to make real progress… although not much chance of that with my birthday this week

16 months of progress - 119KG to 96.5KG - I’m 5’10”

Pretty happy with how much muscle I’m hanging on too and I think I look fairly lean for my weight - really focusing on the next push to get to sub 90 and see where I am there!

Mainly been on 2100kcals a day, steps (10k), ad hoc weight workouts and more recently some running. Had the odd coasting month and have been as low as 94 before Christmas/holidays took me back to 100 temporarily.
