big frames drop

Hi ive just installed a 5850 and with a e2180 and im getting big frames drop, ive overclocked cpu and still getting them, any idea what could be causing it.Frames are around 50 then shoot down to around 15 then back up.

this was playing bc2 at 1280x 1024.

Sounds like you are being limited by your CPU. The HD 5850 is a nice card and really won't be taxed at 1280x1024. However, the e2180 (even overclocked) is only core 2 duo and not ideally suited to a modern CPU-heavy game like BC2.
