big improvement?

would i see much of an improvement of that system of my current which is

6gb ram
Asus M4A785TD-V Evo AMD 785G (Socket AM3) DDR3 Motherboard
2 x 4870 512mb

any suggestions?

You should see a good performance increase.

Did you know that your current motherboard does crossfire at 16X/4X for the slots, so crossfire isn't as good as when the two slots are at equal speeds.

The Asus Z68 board you listed does do it correctly at 8X/8X

oh that didnt come to my attention, im hoping to get rid of th 4870s anyway, they run far too hot and loud, but im still unsure to whether a whole new system is worth it or not
