Hoi all!

I have the following dilema  :

My iPod Video is looking for a nice output for all of its lovely sound. I have a choice between an Altec Lansing IM7 (currently on offer from an unnamed competitor) or a fairly old kenwood supersystem that my pops is trying to flog (tried it out this morning, still packs a hell of a punch) - also worth noting that the Kenwood is 2/3 the price of the Altec Lansing. I suppose my biggest concern is would I lose much (if any) sound quality by having the kenwood system? As I would have to get a 3.5mm to RXA adaptor for it to work and from what I'm told, the special iPod dock speakers are meant to sound nicer.

Opinions Please!!

Cheers

you can plug the acoustic energy aego m's straight into an ipod i think they sound really nice :D, you might want to have a look at em. i got em hooked up to my pc right now but for house parties and stuff i just move them to where ever and plug ipod's/mp3 phones etc straight into it.

Cheers for your advice ojste!

For anyone who looks at this thread for reference, I decided to go with the old Kenwood system.
Nice and simple 3.5mm to RXA lead via an Apple iPod dock. Phenominal sound out of this beast. Will post a pic of the setup as soon as I get my computer to recognise my D600 :o :p

EDIT:
Finally got my PC and Phone to agree....
Voila...Zee Setup :D
