Hey

I have put together my new pc.. took quite a while.. and then started everything was ok... started installing xp.. took ages then, once it had also finished it came up to the welcome screen and then a window popped up and said "a problem is preventing windows from accuratly checking the licence for this computer error code - 0x800700002 and it won't let me in ... can someone please help ??

note it is not a new hard drive.. it was from my old pc.. if that is any use to anyone..

Thanks and please Help !!

yeah it was big jump (too big to speak of)

and no not tried any games yet on account of needing new copy of windows..,

all that power just waiting for me... :D :D

what so you think that this problem is lower than oem/retail editions ? do i need to do anything else to anything sure as hard drive.. i did delete my drive when loading up xp cd then it formatted the hard drive.. did i do something wrong ?

it is a pretty error i get to the welcome screen.. and when it is loading a 'pretty' error comes up then i press ok and it loads up the welcome screen then if i click on my profile it just keeps saying the same thing.. i think it is because it might be a oem version....

i moved it from my old rig.. then when i when to install xp i deleted my partisions and then xp install formatted my HD.... it all installed fine...

yeah i have tried it but where it says..

"Delete the following registry keys in the Windows registry:

HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers

HKEY_USERS\S-1-5-20\Software\Microsoft\Cryptography\Providers"

the folder Cryptography is not there....
