Okay here's the story.
Last night i was downloading the sims 4 and something went wrong so i reset my pc, as soon as i reset it i couldn't get back on my pc i could only enter the bios or it would stay in a cycle of resetting but there was an option to format it so i did that but it wasnt working its a way to format ive not seen before probably because it was windows 10 but anyways it didnt work so i put my windows 7 disk in and it formatted fine and i can now get back on to my pc but last night before i went to bed i left it searching for updates, when i woke up my pc was still on but the updates had finished i reset my pc to let them take affect and then after it was stuck on 0% for almost an hour it reverted it all and then i check the history of my updates and they all failed besides a few, I've tried everything to my knowledge to get it to work but im honestly stuck i didnt know a pc could screw up so badly

I had an issue last week on an older rig when updating windows 7, the updates would get stuck on 0% for ages. I left it for atleast an hour or so, and then I clicked the 'shutdown' button which had the windows update symbol, and this did infact install some updates each time. I did this untill all were installed!

Legitimate copy of Windows?

Is your time (including time zone) and date correct within Windows?

Yeah its a legit copy of windows and everything is correct with it, ive formatted plenty of times on this pc just this time all the windows updates are messing up and failing

and the ones that have failed dont re show when i check for updates, and now when i check for updates it just keeps searching and gives no results

If you have a lot of Windows updates to do, sometimes it can get in a tangle because of dependencies. Best to go into Custom updates in Win 7 (rather than Express) and split it up into batches.

If you're still having problems with updates Microsoft offer a Windows Update Troubleshooter Tool that can often fix things with updates that failed, so that you can try again.

.... probably because it was windows 10 but anyways it didnt work so i put my windows 7 disk in and it formatted fine

The situation is this? :
* You have a Win7 license that you have upgraded to Win10.
* Bad stuff happened and you have reinstalled (you say "formated") after a full format c: using the Win7 disk?
* Installed 7 from scratch using 7 disk
*Now Win7 updates are not working.
*Effectively you just want back to Win10?

Head here to download the Win10 installer. You don't have to start at Win7 from now on:

https://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/software-download/windows10
Edit: Why do they make this so hard to find :(

Don't do this if you still have data left on the C: drive and I've misinterpreted the above.
